We hope you choose A 'GEM" in the FOREST as your next vacation destination. We will treat you like family and hope you love our place as much as we do. If decide to give our "GEM'" a try, all this information is posted on the refrigerator.

Rates

$750 per week
$125 per night
3 night minimum (June 1 thru October 31)
2 night minimum (November 1 thru May 31)
11.75% occupancy taxes required by state law
$100 security deposit
$50 cleaning fee

Methods of Payment

Personal checks accepted
Credit cards accepted (3% processing fee)
50% deposit required within 7 days to secure reservation
30 days prior to arrival - balance due (plus $100 security deposit)
7 days after departure - if there are no damages, we will send your security deposit back via check

Cancellation Policy

Checking in and out

Check in at 2:00 PM or later
No "in-person" check-in required, cabin will be unlocked for your arrival
Please call for late arrivals after dark
Check out is at 10:00 AM
Upon departure - leave cabin unlocked with key on table

Cleaning Checklist

Please do the following upon departure

Place garbage in big garage, use BIG garage door for access
Place all dirty towels in linen basket
Wash and pick up dishes - Please EMPTY dishwasher
Sweep cabin - broom and dustpan on front porch
WINTER - leave heat on 60 degrees - NOT emergency heat
SUMMER - leave air on 72 degrees
Leave the cabin unlocked with key on table

Low clearance vehicles and vehicles with rear wheel drive are not recommended, 4 wheel drive NOT required

SMOKING inside NOT ALLOWED, front porch is okay
Pet free cabin - NO PETS ALLOWED
Risk of FOREST FIRES is great - OUTSIDE FIRES not allowed
Owner will allow you to do laundry in their home upon request

Fishing Rules

Fish whenever you like - no fee for fishing
We charge $4.00 per pound for the fish you catch
You MUST keep and PAY for all RAINBOW TROUT
Absolutely NO CATCH and RELEASE of RAINBOW TROUT
Please release all small bream, sunfish, perch, and catfish.If large enough and you decide to keep, fee is $4.00 per pound

Trout are very fragile, usually die shortly after being touched or released, and cause many diseases to other fish. Please protect other fish in the pond from disease.

It cost us a lot of $$$$ to stock and maintain this pond for your enjoyment. We DO NOT make money off the pond. In fact, we actually lose money. Please respect us and abide by our rules.

If you break our simple rules, you will not be allowed to fish anymore. Plus, you will forfeit your entire security deposit, and you will not be allowed to rent from us again.

NOTE: You are allowed to release any, and all bream, sunfish, perch and catfish regardless of size. But, if they have swallowed the hook and are bleeding, please KEEP and PAY for them.

Fish cleaning service available - we charge .75 cents per pound
Some fish cleaning supplies available in chest on front porch
Bring your own fillet knives (unless flying in of course)
Fish remains should be thrown in the woods - DO NOT put in garbage please
